When close to the surface of the beans or grains, there are noticeable bright stripes.
During the development, the rice weevil destroyed about 25% of dry matter.
Under optimum conditions / 27-31 C / one female lays about 10 eggs in one day.
Except in the grain of wheat and maize, rice weevil also develops in macaroni and spaghetti.
In flour and bran it can eat, but can not complete its development.
